Joseph Arevalo
Joseph Arevalo is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in engineering, known for his dedication, creativity, and drive for excellence. Born and raised in San Francisco, Joseph’s journey is one of passion, growth, and continuous learning.
From an early age, Joseph exhibited a strong curiosity for science and mathematics, sparking his interest in pursuing engineering within the medical device industry. He attended the University of California, Irvine where he earned his B.S degree in Biological Sciences, laying the foundation for a successful career. During his time at UC Irvine, Joseph was not only a dedicated student but also an active member of the Filipino Pre-Health Student Organization (PUSO), which helped shape his leadership and collaborative skills.
Joseph’s professional career began in Thoratec Corporation, where he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional skills in building manufacturing engineering production test systems. His ability to collaborate with Engineers and Technicians on complex test assemblies and procedures set him apart in his field, leading to opportunities with Thoratec Corporation/St Jude Medical/Abbott Laboratories, and Fresenius Medical Care.
Throughout his career, Joseph has made significant contributions to the Test Engineering Department at Thoratec Corporation/St Jude Medical/Abbott Laboratories and to the NPI Department at Fresenius Medical Care, establishing himself as an expert in Abbott’s HM3 Controller Test System, and Fresenius’ Next-Generation Dialysis ‘Diamond’ Machine. His reputation for being innovative, reliable, and a forward thinker has earned him respect and admiration from peers and clients alike.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Joseph is dog lover who owns a German Shepherd Dog. He is also passionate about learning new skills, and passing along that knowledge, he is committed to giving back to his community through tutoring. He believes in the power of mentorship, and this philosophy has shaped both his personal and professional life. He’s also one of the Board of Directors for the Filipino American Real Estate Professional Association in Sacramento.
Today, Joseph Arevalo continues to push boundaries, striving for personal and professional growth while inspiring others to pursue their dreams with perseverance and passion. His journey is a testament to the importance of hard work, dedication, and staying true to one’s values.
